Both of these sites share a common parent company and specialize in luxury with a capital L. The villas range from small and private to large and private. Some are on private islands, while others are gated beachfront compounds. They all come fully staffed with maids, cooks and personal valets to take care of your company's every need, usually before you think of it.

A good spot for larger meetings, this property offers 500 guest rooms, on-site shopping and a choice of restaurants. Also on-site is a spa, a 27-hole golf course and a variety of swimming options. San Antonio is crammed with galleries, shopping and, of course, the Alamo.

The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay
Half Moon Bay, Calif.
Overlooking 50 miles of pristine Northern California coastline, this resort can handle meetings from small to 400. There are 261 guest rooms with ocean or inland views, eight meeting rooms, three outdoor function areas, a business center and a ballroom with vaulted ceilings. Amenities include a golf course, day spa, pools and hiking trails.

Sheraton Wild Horse Pass
Phoenix, Ariz.
Another good choice for large meetings, this resort has 500 guest rooms and a wide variety of meeting rooms. There is a luxury spa, two 18-hole golf courses, hiking trails and a full equestrian center with riding lessons and trail rides. The resort recently purchased the Rawhide Western Theme Park, a 72-acre facility now open to guests.

Bachelor Gulch on Beaver Creek Mountain
Beaver Creek, Colo.
During the winter, this AAA five-diamond resort is a haven for skiers with ski-in, ski-out options. It's also home to the sensational Bachelor Gulch Spa, featuring "Mountain Spa Mornings," a three-hour combination of hiking, outdoor yoga and leisurely massages. In summer, there's golf at the nearby championship link of the Red Sky Golf Course. The meeting space is first-rate, and there are a variety of options among the 237 guest rooms.

Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort
Zion National Park, Utah
The biggest attraction is Zion National Park, but the Ranch also has specialists in corporate retreats to help create specific programs and team-building events for your staff. Lodgings range from rustic cabins, to small ranch houses with one to five bedrooms, to the six-bedroom Moose Lodge. The emphasis here is on the great outdoors hiking, fishing, archery. There are seasonal cattle roundups and pictograph tours.
