For instance, meet Amanda Raab, who had the overwork mindset for one grueling year, when she clocked 60 to 70 hours a week while starting her jewelry company, PurePearls.com. Those 12- to 14-hour days quickly began to take a toll on the 28-year-old Houston entrepreneur. She restructured her workweek to around 15 hours a day, with a 9-to-5 day on Monday followed by short days the rest of the week. Her company doubled its revenue to more than $1 million last year.
